What the fuck?!?

Found this at the local supermarket. New country = novelty drink lovers paradise B-)

the first week

arriving in dubai for a stop over i had high hopes to use the time to write emails but the airport was a huge let down.
the business class lounge felt like an overcrowded bus terminal. the airport was packed, even at 5:30 am local time. wireless yes but painfully overloaded, the internet terminals crap and people queueing for miles.
hot, smelly and average. a far cry from the fabled marble floors you keep reading about. maybe next time first class?

i wanted to buy something interesting, something gadgety but nothing tickled my fancy.
so instead i wasted time in the irish pub. yes, an irish pub.
at least dubai had smoking areas, unlike sydney.

i hate flying but emirates was plain awesome. good food, nice staff and comfortable seating.

basel is small, old fashioned looking but friendly, cute and friggin cold.

btw, below is my temporary accomodation. lots of white, only one power point. whine much ?

Day 1

Plenty of tears for the good bye.
I miss them already, the missus, the dogs, the house, newtown, king street, the mates at work.

When i frist heard of the job offer in Switzerland i was excited, they wanted me, yes, me to do the job. How utterly awesome.

Now that i sit here at some strange business terminal free of charge internet access point at sydney airport i regret the decission.
Note to self: think more carefully before you accept the next assignment.
